Continuing Mentoring and Training Activities
As part of supporting entrepreneurial students and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship within the university environment, the school’s incubator organized today a specialized training session aimed at monitoring the progress of students’ projects.
The session was held with the distinguished presence of two experts in finance and accounting from the University of Médéa incubator:
- Dr. Abdelghani Kahla
- Dr. Mohamed Boulasnane
The training focused on:
- Preparing financial plans
- Calculating revenues and costs
- The importance of market and competitor analysis
- Pricing strategies
This initiative is part of the implementation of Ministerial Decision No. 1275 supporting university entrepreneurship.

Educational Field Visit to the People’s National Assembly
As part of strengthening practical training and opening up to national institutions, first-year Master’s students specializing in Sports Journalism and Communication at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences conducted an educational field visit to the People’s National Assembly, under the supervision of the Head of the Media Sciences Department, Dr. Khaddouj Gherfi.
The students were warmly received by Mr. Mazzari Bouziane, Head of the Youth, Sports, and Associative Activities Committee at the People’s National Assembly. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the functioning mechanisms of this legislative institution and to understand its role in supporting youth and sports-related issues.
Special thanks are extended to Mr. Mazzari Bouziane for his warm welcome, generous hospitality, and the valuable information he shared with our students, which contributed significantly to enriching their knowledge and strengthening their connection to field practice.

Doctoral Thesis Defense in a Distinguished Academic Atmosphere
In a refined academic atmosphere reflecting the vitality and richness of scholarly research, the school hosted the doctoral thesis defense (LMD) of the student Boumegouas Assia, entitled:
“Information and Scientific Communication in the Digital Era: The Case of Algeria – A Descriptive and Analytical Study (2010–2024)”
The defense took place before a distinguished academic committee composed of:

Installation of the Local Theatre Committee at the School
In a distinguished cultural atmosphere filled with creativity and artistic spirit, the Director of the school, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, supervised the installation of the Local Theatre Committee within the university setting. This step reflects the growing commitment to strengthening theatrical practice within the academic environment and linking it to its broader cultural and artistic context.
The installation ceremony was attended by a notable group of participants, including a representative of the West University Services Directorate, the Head of the Artistic Division at the Algerian National Theatre, the Head of the Cultural and Sports Activities Department, a cultural advisor from the Palace of Culture Moufdi Zakaria, and the President of the School’s Cinema and Theatre Club. Their presence highlighted the collective efforts to support cultural activity within the institution.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Dr. and artist Abdelkader Griou, who added an artistic touch through his visit. He interacted with students and encouraged them to engage in theatrical work, emphasizing the importance of theatre as a space for free expression, talent development, and cultural awareness.
The installation of this committee marks a qualitative step toward embedding theatrical culture within the school and opening new horizons for students to create and excel, in line with the university’s mission to promote art and (thought).
