General Meeting with School Staff

In an atmosphere of dialogue and consultation, the Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, held a general meeting with the school staff. The meeting was dedicated to listening to their concerns and opening a discussion on various professional issues, as part of strengthening internal communication.

During this meeting, the Director reaffirmed his strong commitment to the principle of participatory management as a key pillar for improving performance and fostering a work environment based on cooperation, trust, and the exchange of ideas.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Director shared a special moment with the administrative staff, extending his congratulations on the occasion of Labor Day and praising their continuous efforts and dedication in serving and advancing the institution.

This workshop provided students with an opportunity to understand:

Participation in the Online Session of the “Rising Star” Competition

Under the supervision of the Directorate of Communication and External Relations, and within the framework of the partnership with Ooredoo, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—participated in the online seminar dedicated to the “Rising Star” competition. This session was organized to explain the terms and procedures for taking part in this scientific competition.

The school was represented in this meeting by Dr. Narimane Temadjer, Head of the Journalism Department, whose presence added significant value, reflecting her academic expertise and her role in guiding and supporting students toward excellence. She was accompanied by student Taqwa Zerrouqi, winner of the first prize in the previous edition, whose participation highlighted the school’s active presence and its commitment to mentoring and empowering students in the fields of media and communication.

This participation reflects the school’s commitment to supporting its students and encouraging them to engage in scientific and creative initiatives, particularly in contemporary topics related to artificial intelligence and the future of media.

Educational Visit by Students from the University of Mouloud Mammeri – Tizi Ouzou

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—hosted students from the Department of English Language at the University of Mouloud Mammeri of Tizi Ouzou for a distinguished educational visit, held within the framework of the cooperation and partnership agreement between the two institutions.

This visit was organized under the supervision of the Directorate of Information Systems, Communication, and External Relations, in coordination with the Head of the Media Sciences Department and the school’s studio. It provided students with the opportunity to closely explore various pedagogical and technical facilities, as well as to learn about training and practical implementation mechanisms in the field of media and communication.

The school administration extends its sincere thanks to Professor Hamzaoui Hakim for his valuable contribution to the success of this educational visit.

Framework Agreement Signed Between the School and ONDA

In the presence of Dr. Meriem Bendouda, Minister of Culture, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—signed a framework agreement between the school and the National Copyright and Neighboring Rights Office (ONDA). The signing ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Director in charge of Communication and External Relations, and the Director of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) at the school.

This agreement aims to support students in their creative journey by providing legal mechanisms to protect their projects and innovative ideas, and to strengthen a culture of intellectual property within the university environment, thereby fostering innovation and encouraging knowledge production and creativity.

This initiative is part of the school’s ongoing efforts to strengthen external relations by expanding its network of partnerships with various national institutions and stakeholders, opening promising opportunities for cooperation, training, and academic supervision for students.

Through this initiative, the school reaffirms its commitment to building an open academic environment that nurtures creativity and maintains strong links with its professional and institutional ecosystem.

Special thanks are extended to the Director of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) for her outstanding efforts in bringing this agreement to fruition, which will have a positive impact on protecting and enhancing our students’ creative work.

Educational Visit to the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee

As part of pedagogical activities aimed at linking theoretical learning with practical experience, first-year Master’s students specializing in Sports Journalism and Communication at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized a visit to the headquarters of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee.

The students had a valuable opportunity to discover the Algerian Olympic Museum and to explore up close the most important achievements of Algerian athletes in various international and continental competitions.

This visit served as an enriching experience that enhanced students’ knowledge and broadened their horizons in the field of sports journalism, through direct engagement with the history of national sports and its prominent figures.
