
In a significant academic initiative reflecting its engagement with ongoing media transformations, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—will host the first national conference entitled: “Press Freedom in the Digital Environment: Issues and Challenges.”

This important scientific event is chaired by Dr. Jamila Ben Zeidoun Brahimi, and represents a distinguished academic platform addressing one of the most pressing issues in the media field, in light of rapid digital transformations and the new challenges they pose to freedom of expression and journalistic practice.
The conference is organized by the Media Research and Social Uses Laboratory (MUSC), under the direction of Professor Driss Cherif, as part of efforts to support scientific research and foster academic debate on contemporary media issues.
This event marks the first national conference hosted by the school on press freedom in the digital environment, reflecting the institution’s awareness of the importance of scientifically addressing these issues and creating spaces for dialogue between researchers, professionals, and students.
Participants are invited to join a group of professors, researchers, and experts for an in-depth scientific discussion aimed at exploring the future of press freedom in the digital age and its emerging challenges.
