Field Visit to Algerian Public Television as Part of Practical Media Training

As part of the ongoing cooperation between the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid—and various national media institutions, the school’s students conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the Algerian Public Television, the school’s media partner.

This visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore the working environment within newsrooms and studios, and to learn about the stages of preparing television news bulletins and programs. It also allowed them to engage in discussions with journalists and specialists about the challenges of fieldwork in audiovisual media.

The school administration extends its sincere thanks to the management of Algerian Television for their warm welcome and continuous support, emphasizing that such visits represent a fundamental pillar in the practical training of media students.

Launch of a School Cinema Club in Partnership with the Algiers Cinematheque

As part of the school’s openness to national cultural and artistic spaces, we are pleased to announce the creation of a cinema club at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, which will be hosted by the Algiers Cinematheque.

This project is the result of several successful previous experiences undertaken by professors and students in the field of film criticism and analysis. It aims to promote film culture within the academic environment and encourage students to read images and understand contemporary visual and media language.

Through this club, students will have the opportunity to participate in film screenings, training workshops, and meetings with directors and film critics, thereby helping to strengthen aesthetic and intellectual awareness in engaging with images and the art of cinema.

This is a new step that reinforces the school’s presence in the national cultural and creative landscape.

Opening Day of Global Entrepreneurship Week Concludes with Rich Academic and Training Activities

In a distinguished atmosphere and under the supervision of Dr. Nesrine Saadoun, Director of the university incubator at the school, the first day of Global Entrepreneurship Week concluded with a series of rich scientific activities.

The program opened with a highly valuable lecture delivered by Professor Mohamed Hedir titled: “Entrepreneurship as a Tool for Activating the Economy,” in which he presented an in-depth vision of the role of entrepreneurial initiative in creating real economic dynamism.

This was followed by an intervention by Dr. Mounir Rahal, representative of the National Agency for Entrepreneurship Support and Development (NESDA), entitled: “The Role of Entrepreneurship in Building a Sustainable Economy,” where he highlighted the importance of supporting startups in fostering national growth.

Additionally, Professor Amina Chamami, Director of the Technology Support and Innovation Center (CATI) at the school, organized a rich workshop on “Protecting Innovation and Intellectual Property as a Lever for National Development,” which witnessed strong engagement and participation from students.

As part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Technology Support and Innovation Center (CATI) at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized a distinguished workshop titled:

“Legal and Fiscal Aspects and Innovation in the Economic Enterprise.”

The workshop was delivered by:

Participation in a Scientific Study Day Organized by the Algerian Academy of Sciences and Technologies

With the participation and presence of Professor Khaled Laalaoui, Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid, and Dr. Mohamed Bouhouali, Deputy Director in charge of Communication and External Relations, the school took part today in the activities of the study day organized by the Algerian Academy of Sciences and Technologies, affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication.

As part of strengthening the school’s external relations and its openness to national scientific bodies, Dr. Lamoudi Malika delivered a valuable lecture titled: “The State of Scientific Journalism in Algeria.” In her presentation, she addressed the challenges facing this type of journalism, as well as ways to develop it and its role in disseminating scientific knowledge within society.

The school’s participation in such events reflects its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing its presence in the national academic and media landscape.

Continuing Global Entrepreneurship Week with Expert Workshops and Student Engagement

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—continues to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week through a series of rich activities organized by the Technology Support and Innovation Center (CATI), the Business Incubator, and the Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE), with the aim of strengthening initiative and embedding a culture of innovation among students.

The third and fourth days were marked by hosting a group of distinguished experts who enriched students’ knowledge through valuable presentations and workshops, including:

  • Dr. Sofiane Batata, from the National Polytechnic School, whose highly valuable presentation contributed to scientific and technical discussions.
  • Professor Abdel Rafiq Khenifsa, digital communication expert, who provided an in-depth perspective on digital transformation and its opportunities.
  • Professor Maryem Missoum, who delivered a valuable workshop that helped develop students’ skills.
  • Mr. Yacine Azzzi, former student of the school and founder of Algeria Virtual Travel, who shared his entrepreneurial journey and experience in digital business with the students.

Strengthening Cooperation Between the School and Algiers Province in Training and Capacity Building

The Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, Professor Khaled Lalaoui—received the Advisor to the Minister–Governor of Algiers, accompanied by the Director of Human Resources and the Training Officer at the provincial level.

During this meeting, discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the school and the Province of Algiers, particularly in the fields of training and skills development.

The Province of Algiers is considered one of the school’s key partners, as several of its executives have already benefited from various training programs organized by the school on topics related to media, communication, and information management.

Both parties also agreed to initiate the implementation of a number of joint projects in the coming period, aimed at supporting the capabilities of local executives and enhancing the school’s openness to its institutional environment.

Closing of Global Entrepreneurship Week with Academic Contributions and Student Participation

The activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week concluded today under the supervision of the Director of the Technology Support and Innovation Center, Professor Amina Chamami, in the distinguished presence of the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, who expressed his support and encouragement for all initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of entrepreneurship within the institution.

The closing day featured a series of valuable academic presentations delivered by:

  • Professor Mourad Kouachi, professor at the University of Oum El Bouaghi and member of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE)
  • Dr. and legal expert Guesmi Belkacem, professor at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid

The speakers enriched the audience with their expertise in entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation.
