Information Day on Student Startup Creation and Economic Enterprise Projects

As part of fostering student initiative and encouraging them to engage in the creation of startups, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yaziz—organized an information day on the project of establishing an economic enterprise, held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Naït Mazi Auditorium.

This meeting took place in the context of explaining and clarifying Ministerial Decree No. 008 of February 23, 2025, which amends and complements Ministerial Decree No. 1275, related to the creation of economic enterprises within the university environment.

The session was facilitated by:

  • Prof. Missoum Maryem – National Higher School of Irrigation, Blida
  • Dr. Harbi Lamia – University of Tipaza, Abdallah Merzeli

This event aimed to introduce students to the legal and regulatory framework of startups and to encourage them to transform their creative ideas into real projects contributing to economic development.

Commemoration of the 63rd Anniversary of the Restoration of National Sovereignty over Radio and Television

As part of the commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of the restoration of national sovereignty over the radio and television institutions, Dr. Malika Lamoudi and Dr. Jamal Bouchakor, professors at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences, took part in a special radio program broadcast by the Algerian International Channel on this occasion.

This participation aimed to enrich the discussion on the significance of this historical event in the trajectory of national media, and to emphasize its role in consolidating media sovereignty and strengthening national identity.

Study Day on Research Ethics and Academic Plagiarism Risks

As part of the scientific activities of the Research Laboratory in Media, Social Uses, and Communication, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized a study day chaired by Dr. Nesrine Saadoun entitled: “Research Ethics and the Risks of Academic Plagiarism.”

This scientific meeting aimed to discuss ethical values in academic research and raise awareness about the dangers of intellectual and academic plagiarism, with the participation of professors, researchers, and students from the school.

The school extends its sincere thanks to the participating professors in this study day:

Participation in the National Conference of Universities at the Ministry of Higher Education

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, represented by its Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, is participating today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, in the National Conference of Universities chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamel Baddari, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of heads of higher education institutions and chairs of ministerial committees.

The meeting was dedicated to presenting the latest developments in the sector and monitoring the implementation of university and research programs in line with the national strategy SNTN / HCN, as part of efforts to develop higher education and enhance the position of Algerian universities within their scientific and societal environment.

Cooperation Agreement Signed Between ENSJSI and the University of Béjaïa

As part of strengthening cooperation relations and openness to the academic environment, a cooperation and partnership agreement was signed today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, between the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid and the University of Abdelrahman Mira – Béjaïa.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Professor Khaled Laalaoui, Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences, and Professor Benyaich Abdelkrim, Rector of the University of Béjaïa.

This partnership aims to promote the exchange of scientific and pedagogical expertise and to implement joint projects in the fields of media and communication, in support of education and scientific research.

This initiative is part of the school’s policy to build bridges of cooperation with higher education institutions across the country, thereby strengthening its position as a leading academic and media hub.

Student Visit to the 28th Algiers International Book Fair (SILA): A Cultural and Academic Experience

As part of cultural and academic activities, the students of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid visited the 28th edition of the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA), held at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Center under the slogan: “The Book as a Meeting Point of Cultures.” The Islamic Republic of Mauritania was the guest of honor of this edition.

The fair features broad participation from national and international publishing houses representing more than 50 countries, and includes thousands of titles across various intellectual, scientific, and literary fields, in addition to organizing intellectual seminars and book signing sessions with authors from Algeria and abroad.

This visit provided students with an opportunity to discover the latest publications and engage with cultural and media stakeholders, thereby reinforcing a culture of reading and knowledge.

This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to encouraging cultural openness and fostering a spirit of research among students, contributing to the enhancement of their academic and professional training in the fields of media and communication.

As part of the cultural activities of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, the school’s students made another visit to the 28th edition of the Algiers International Book Fair, held under the slogan: “The Book as a Meeting Point of Cultures.”

This visit represented a valuable opportunity to explore the latest publications and engage with authors and publishers, thereby strengthening students’ general culture and interest in knowledge.

Special thanks are extended to the members of the “Al-Mishkat” Club for their excellent supervision and well-organized coordination, which made this visit a fruitful and successful experience, reflecting the spirit of initiative and responsibility among the school’s students.

First Day of MAXQDA Training Workshop on Qualitative Data Analysis

The first day of the training course was delivered by Dr. Mahfoud Hendaoui, a lecturer at the University of Ain Témouchent and an internationally certified trainer in MAXQDA.

The first day witnessed strong engagement from participants, during which Dr. Hendaoui introduced fundamental concepts of qualitative analysis using the MAXQDA software, in a distinguished academic atmosphere combining seriousness and a spirit of collaboration.

Intellectual Seminar on the Evolution of National Media from the Liberation Era to the Digital Revolution

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—hosted a valuable intellectual seminar delivered by Professor Ahmed Azimi, which addressed the trajectory of national media from the era of the liberation revolution to the digital revolution, as well as the profound transformations it is undergoing in light of modern technologies.

The seminar was marked by rich discussion and strong engagement from both students and professors, reflecting the academic community’s interest in issues related to national media and its role in shaping collective awareness.

The school administration extends its sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this seminar, including professors, students, administrative staff, and all distinguished attendees who enriched the event with their ideas and interventions.

An in-depth training on the use of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in research in media and communication sciences.
