Awareness Day on Diabetes: Healthy Eating and Prevention

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized an awareness day titled: “Healthy Eating and Its Relationship with Diabetes.” The event was attended by a group of specialist doctors and representatives of pharmaceutical laboratories, who provided valuable advice on the importance of healthy nutrition and its role in preventing this disease.

The doctors and specialists also carried out blood sugar tests for attendees, in an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of regular health monitoring.

The school’s Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, welcomed the participating guests during this awareness day, emphasizing the school’s commitment to promoting health awareness among students and making the institution a space for knowledge and education on various societal issues.

Awareness Day on Intellectual Property Rights in the Context of Media and Digital Creativity

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized an awareness day on “Intellectual Property Rights and Protected Works in the Context of Media and Digital Creativity,” under the supervision of Professor Amina Chamami, Director of the Technology Support and Innovation Center (CATI), with the participation of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) and the National Office of Copyright and Neighboring Rights (ONDA), along with other partners.

The event witnessed a large turnout from the academic community, researchers, and student project holders, where emphasis was placed on the importance of protecting innovation in the digital age and introducing the services provided by the CATI center.

On this occasion, the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, congratulated the Technology Support and Innovation Center for the success and excellence of this initiative, in recognition of the efforts made to promote a culture of intellectual property within the university environment.

Student Fatima Zohra Ghaffaf Achieves First Place Regionally and Fifth Nationally in the National Stage Performance Competition

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—extends its warmest congratulations to student Ghaffaf Fatima Zohra on achieving first place in the Central region and fifth place nationally in the seventh edition of the National Stage Performance Competition, organized at Hamma Lakhdar University of El Oued, as part of the cultural program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research—Directorate of Student Life.

On this occasion, the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, expressed his highest appreciation for the student, praising her efforts, creativity, and excellence, which bring honor to the school and its students. Participation in the National Innovation Fair in Oran through the Technology Support and Innovation Center

Congratulations on the Appointment of Prof. Abdel Salam Ben Zoui as Director of the National Higher Institute of Cinema

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—extends, on behalf of its Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, and its entire community of faculty, staff, and administrators, its warmest congratulations and sincere appreciation to Professor Abdel Salam Ben Zoui, the former Director of the school, on his appointment as Director of the National Higher Institute of Cinema – Mohamed Lakhdar Hamina, the first Algerian higher education institution specialized in training professionals in the field of cinema, and affiliated with both the Ministry of Culture and Arts and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This well-deserved appointment recognizes an outstanding academic career and scientific and pedagogical expertise that has greatly enriched the media and cultural fields in our country.

Coordination Meeting on Developing a National Framework for Publishers and Journalists in the Media Sector

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—held a coordination meeting today in the presence of the Deputy Director in charge of Studies, the Head of the Academic Field at the school, the Head of the Media Sciences Department, the Head of the Institutional Communication specialization, the Head of the Audiovisual Cell, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of El Chaâb newspaper and the Director of Horizon newspaper.

This meeting was held in response to a request from the Regional Conference of Central Universities, with the aim of contributing to the development of a comprehensive vision for the Algerian framework in the axis of publishers and journalists, according to a participatory approach that brings together academic and professional actors in the media sector.

This meeting reflects the school’s commitment to its leading role in keeping pace with national transformations, enhancing the quality of education, and contributing to the preparation of media professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the future.

Academic Seminar on Artificial Intelligence in Qualitative Research by Prof. Fodil Deliou

The school hosted an academic seminar today delivered by the distinguished Professor Fodil Deliou, titled: “Artificial Intelligence in Qualitative Research: Its Phased Uses and Contextual Limitations.”

The seminar witnessed a remarkable attendance and rich engagement from both students and faculty members, reflecting the depth of the professor’s scientific approach and his clear methodological vision regarding artificial intelligence and its role in qualitative research.

Defense of an Economic Enterprise Project under Decree 1275 at the School’s Business Incubator

As part of the continuation of graduation project defenses under Decree 1275, the Business Incubator of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid—hosted on December 11, 2025, the defense of an economic enterprise project by student Ben Naji Nour El Yaqine, under the supervision of Dr. Nesrine Saadoun, as part of the ongoing support provided to students with entrepreneurial ideas within the university incubator.

Cooperation Agreement Signed with the Algiers Cinematheque and Tribute to Prof. Ahmed Bedjaoui

As part of strengthening the external relations of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—and enhancing its partnerships with national cultural institutions, a cooperation and partnership agreement was signed with the Algiers Cinematheque, aiming to support academic training and foster openness to cinema and audiovisual fields.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Laalaoui, the Director of the Algiers Cinematheque, Mr. Adel Mokhlafiya, and Dr. Mohamed Bouhouali, Director of Communication and External Relations, alongside the distinguished presence of Professor Ahmed Bedjaoui, film scholar and specialist.

On the sidelines of this agreement, the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Laalaoui, honored Professor Ahmed Bedjaoui in recognition of his scientific and academic contributions and his valuable work in the field of cinema and higher education, as well as his long-standing dedication to serving Algerian culture and cinema.

Cooperation Agreement Signed with the National Center for Research in Amazigh Language and Culture

As part of strengthening its external relations, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—today signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the National Center for Research in Amazigh Language and Culture, in the presence of a distinguished and strong representation of the center’s executives and researchers.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Laalaoui, and the Director of the center, Professor Mustapha Tijet. This initiative is part of both institutions’ efforts to consolidate scientific and academic cooperation and to exchange expertise in the fields of research, training, and media valorization of the Amazigh language and culture.

Through this agreement, the school reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its relations with national research bodies and to fostering partnerships that serve students and researchers while contributing to the development of the academic and media landscape.
