Important announcement for respected professors.

As part of strengthening information security and protecting digital accounts, and in accordance with the recommendations of the supervising ministry, the administration of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yaziz—invites all professors to activate the two-factor authentication (2FA) feature on their accounts on the Progres platform.

This measure aims to:

  • Secure personal accounts against potential hacking attempts
  • Protect pedagogical and administrative data
  • Ensure safe and reliable use of the platform

Therefore, all professors are kindly requested to activate this feature as soon as possible and contribute to the success of this initiative, which reinforces the culture of digital security within our institution.

Announcement of Resumption of Academic Activities for the 2025–2026 University Semester

With the approach of the end of the spring break, the administration of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—“M’hamed Yazid”—informs all students that the resumption of pedagogical activities for the 2025–2026 academic year will take place according to the schedule attached to this announcement.

Participation in the Evaluation Process Meeting with the Ministry of Higher Education

As part of the evaluation process programmed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for higher education institutions, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—“M’hamed Yazid”—participated in an important working meeting that brought together its executives with representatives of various central departments of the Ministry. The meeting was dedicated to presenting a review of the work and achievements accomplished during the previous period.

The proceedings took place in a positive atmosphere and a spirit of constructive dialogue, where a comprehensive presentation was delivered highlighting efforts made in the fields of training, scientific research, development of media and communication systems, and strengthening partnership and cooperation relations. The presentation also showcased initiatives and activities related to entrepreneurship and the promotion of a culture of innovation among students.

This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to benefit from a set of guidelines and recommendations issued by the Ministry’s representatives, which are expected to contribute to improving performance and enhancing the quality of education and services, in line with the sector’s orientation toward modernization.

The school administration, led by its Director, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, reaffirms its commitment to continuing work according to these guidelines, ensuring improved performance and further excellence in serving students and society.

It is a moment in which we recall the heroism of our righteous martyrs and remember the resilience of a people who believed in their right to freedom and sovereignty, thus achieving a glory that remains forever etched in the nation’s memory.

On this great occasion, we reaffirm our commitment as an academic institution to continue carrying the message of awareness, to strengthen the values of national belonging, and to foster a sense of responsibility among our students, so that they may become a proud continuation of the path of nation-building and development.

Conclusion of the First National Conference on Modern Research Methodologies in Media and Communication Studies in the Digital Environment

Today marked the conclusion of the first national conference titled:
“Applications of Modern Research Methodologies in the Study of Media and Communication Phenomena in the Digital Environment: Between the Limits of Adaptation and the Challenges of Innovation,”
held at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yaziz.

This conference was organized by the Research Laboratory in Media, Social Uses, and Communication. It brought together professors and researchers who delivered rich academic presentations and engaged in in-depth discussions on the application of modern research methodologies in studying media phenomena in the digital age.

Conclusion of the Second Training Program for Algiers Province Officials on Media and Communication

As part of its openness policy and external relations strategy aimed at strengthening cooperation with various national bodies and institutions, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—has concluded today the second training program organized for officials from the services of the Wilaya of Algiers.

This initiative is part of the school’s efforts to deepen partnerships with its institutional environment and to exchange academic and professional expertise in ways that contribute to developing officials’ skills in the fields of media and communication.

Student Participation in the Commemoration of the October 17, 1961 Events with Algerian Radio

The school was honored to receive a kind invitation from Algerian Radio, its long-standing partner, to take part in the commemoration of the national anniversary of the events of October 17, 1961.

On this significant historical day, a group of the school’s students participated in the activities organized by the radio on this timeless occasion, where they had a valuable opportunity to engage with professional journalism through direct interaction with journalists from national radio channels and to contribute to the media coverage of the event.

The commemoration was further distinguished by the presence of veterans of the liberation war, historians, writers, and journalists, in addition to representatives of various national institutions, giving the event a profound national and historical dimension that reinforces the values of memory and loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs.
