In a distinguished academic atmosphere and rich discussions, the proceedings of the first national conference entitled: “Press Freedom in the Digital Environment: Issues and Challenges” were successfully concluded. The event was hosted by the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—on May 03, 2026, at Naït Mazi Auditorium.
This event was chaired by Dr. Jamila Ben Zeidoun Brahimi, and organized by the Media Research and Social Uses and Communication Laboratory (MUSC), under the direction of Professor Driss Cherif.
The conference witnessed a high-level participation of professors, researchers, and experts, who addressed and discussed the main issues related to press freedom in the context of the digital environment, in light of the rapid transformations taking place in the media landscape.
The sessions were marked by serious academic presentations and constructive debates, reflecting the relevance and importance of the topic, and opening new perspectives for rethinking the future of digital journalistic practice.
We extend our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this scientific event—organizers, speakers, and participants—with hopes for more distinguished and impactful academic encounters in the future.
The sixth entrepreneurship training program at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—continues into its eighth day with Dr. Ahmed Boulbari.
The session witnessed excellent engagement from the trainees, particularly in the practical component.

As part of our specialized training series, the school’s incubator at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences hosted a training session today on the art of storytelling.
