Closing of the Open Days and CATI Training Workshop on Scientific Databases and Patents

The Open Days of the school have concluded, marking a meaningful opportunity for interaction, learning, and the strengthening of initiative and innovation among our students.

One of the key highlights of these events was the training workshop organized by the Technology Support and Innovation Center (CATI) on research in scientific databases and patents, for the benefit of students and project holders. This workshop provided significant added value by enabling participants to learn effective research methods and how to leverage public-domain patents in order to develop their projects and transform their ideas into practical, implementable solutions.

We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our dear students for their presence and active participation. We also express our deep gratitude to Ms. Amina Chamami, Director of the Technology Support and Innovation Center, for her valuable efforts and continuous supervision in ensuring the success of these impactful initiatives.

Appointment of Dr. Rafik Mohamed Ben Cherif as Director of the Blue Center at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences

As part of the ongoing efforts to develop support structures for innovation and mentoring, Dr. Rafik Mohamed Ben Cherif has been appointed Director of the Blue Center at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid, in the presence of the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Laalaoui.

This appointment reinforces the school’s commitment to supporting student entrepreneurs and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the fields of media and communication, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at connecting universities with their economic and social environment.

We congratulate Dr. Rafik Mohamed Ben Cherif on this appointment and wish him every success in his new responsibilities in service of our students and institution.

Coordination Meeting with Banque de Développement Local to Support Student Entrepreneurship Projects

As part of its ongoing openness to its economic environment and its efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among its students, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid—hosted a coordination meeting with representatives of the Banque de Développement Local (BDL). The meeting was dedicated to exploring mechanisms for providing banking expertise in mentoring and supporting entrepreneurial projects for the school’s students and holders of innovative ideas.

The meeting was attended by the school’s Director, Professor Khaled Laalaoui, where emphasis was placed on the importance of partnerships between academic institutions and financial bodies in supporting initiative and providing the necessary guidance to transform ideas into real, implementable projects.

This meeting is part of the school’s strategy aimed at consolidating a culture of entrepreneurship and accompanying students throughout the various stages of designing, studying, and financing their projects, thereby enhancing their employability and integration into the national economic fabric.

Study Day on Islamic Banking in Partnership with Banque de Développement Local (BDL)

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid—organized an informational day on Islamic banking in partnership with the Banque de Développement Local (BDL), which witnessed a remarkable turnout and strong engagement from our dear students.

This meeting provided an opportunity to learn about the mechanisms and products of Islamic banking. It also addressed ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two institutions, particularly in the areas of support, guidance, and entrepreneurial initiatives.

Student Film Club Visits to the Algiers Cinematheque to Enrich Cultural and Artistic Experience

As part of supporting the cultural and artistic activities of the students of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid, the students of the Scientific Club for Cinema and Theatre continue to organize their regular visits to the Algiers Cinematheque, in a rich cultural and educational experience that allows them to explore the world of the seventh art and discover both classical and contemporary cinematic works.

These initiatives aim to encourage students to engage with cultural spaces and broaden their cinematic and artistic knowledge, in alignment with the academic training provided by the school in the fields of media and communication.

Appointment of the Director of the Center for Modern Technologies in Media, Communication, and Pedagogical Practices

The Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid, Professor Khaled Laalaoui—presided over the official installation ceremony of Dr. Ines Rian Khiari as Director of the Center for Modern Technologies in Media, Communication, and Pedagogical Practices at the school.

Launching the Transition Toward a Fourth-Generation (4.0) University Model at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences

In line with the transformations taking place in the higher education and scientific research sector and in support of modernization and digitalization efforts, the Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yazid, Professor Khaled Laalaoui—oversaw the installation of the committee responsible for initiating the transition toward the Fourth-Generation University Model (4.0).

Fifth Entrepreneurship Training Session Continues at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences

The training days at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences are continuing as part of the fifth entrepreneurship training session.

Today’s session was delivered by Dr. Adnan Rashash, who shared his expertise and knowledge with the participants, contributing to the development of their entrepreneurial skills and enhancing their understanding of key concepts related to entrepreneurship and project development.

Al-Mishkat Club Opens Its Season with an Open Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

The “Al-Mishkat” Club launched its activities for the new academic season at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—by organizing an open day for the school’s students to introduce the club, its objectives, and its program.

The event also included an awareness campaign on breast cancer prevention, held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October).

The open day witnessed strong turnout from students interested in joining the Al-Mishkat Club, as well as in listening to medical staff’s advice and health guidance on ways to prevent breast cancer.
