Friendly Football Match Between Staff and Students

In a lively and energetic atmosphere, a friendly football match was held between the staff team and the students’ team, in a special sporting moment that reflected the spirit of fair competition and brotherhood outside the premises of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid.

The match was marked by mutual respect and strong sportsmanship, as the goal was not winning, but rather strengthening communication and building closer ties among all members of the academic community.

Such initiatives confirm that our school is not merely a place of learning, but a united family built on the values of cooperation, solidarity, and team spirit.

Field Visit by Replay Club to Jil FM

As part of strengthening cooperation and opening up to the media environment, the Replay Club of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yaziz—carried out a field visit to Jil FM, part of the National Radio.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity for club members to discover the behind-the-scenes workings of radio production, and to learn about the different stages of preparing and broadcasting programs, in addition to interacting directly with journalists and technicians. This experience helped enrich their knowledge and enhance their professional skills.

On this occasion, the school administration extends its sincere thanks to Radio Algeria, the school’s partner, and especially to Jil FM, for their warm welcome, generous hospitality, and continuous support in accompanying our students throughout their training journey.

National Workshop on Innovation in Sport, Entrepreneurship, and Youth Opportunities

As part of supporting innovation and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship among young people, the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) at the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized, in coordination with the school’s incubator and the coordinator of sports journalism specialization, and under the overall supervision of the Directorate of Information Systems, Communication, and External Relations, a distinguished national workshop on:

“Innovation in Sport: Entrepreneurship and Youth Opportunities.”

The event was attended by international football star of the Algerian national team Karim Matmour, along with participation from patent examiners from INAPI.

This meeting provided a dynamic and enriching space for dialogue and exchange of expertise, highlighting the importance of innovation in advancing the sports sector, the role of entrepreneurship in opening new opportunities for youth, as well as introducing mechanisms for protecting ideas and projects through patents and industrial property.

This event represented a significant milestone combining sport, innovation, and media, reaffirming the importance of investing in youth potential and enabling them to transform their ideas into promising projects that contribute to building a better future.

In a distinguished academic atmosphere and rich discussions, the proceedings of the first national conference entitled: “Press Freedom in the Digital Environment: Issues and Challenges” were successfully concluded. The event was hosted by the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—on May 03, 2026, at Naït Mazi Auditorium.

This event was chaired by Dr. Jamila Ben Zeidoun Brahimi, and organized by the Media Research and Social Uses and Communication Laboratory (MUSC), under the direction of Professor Driss Cherif.

The conference witnessed a high-level participation of professors, researchers, and experts, who addressed and discussed the main issues related to press freedom in the context of the digital environment, in light of the rapid transformations taking place in the media landscape.

The sessions were marked by serious academic presentations and constructive debates, reflecting the relevance and importance of the topic, and opening new perspectives for rethinking the future of digital journalistic practice.

General Meeting with School Staff

In an atmosphere of dialogue and consultation, the Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, held a general meeting with the school staff. The meeting was dedicated to listening to their concerns and opening a discussion on various professional issues, as part of strengthening internal communication.
