The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—organized an awareness day on how to deal with accidents such as fires and earthquakes, in cooperation and coordination with the Civil Protection services.
The activity included an inspection of the available equipment and resources within the institution, as well as an assessment of their readiness for use in case of emergencies, particularly fires.
A first demonstration was presented to staff and employees on the correct use of fire extinguishers in the event of a fire, along with essential guidelines and advice to avoid common mistakes. This was followed by a second session focused on first aid techniques to assist in saving a patient, accident victim, or drowning case.
Several additional safety recommendations were also provided, including preventive measures and the proper steps to follow in case of fire emergencies.
