National Student Day – May 19

The National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—Imhamed Yaziz—commemorates National Student Day, observed on May 19, in tribute to the historic Student Strike of 1956, which reflected the awareness, patriotism, and commitment of Algerian students to the national cause and their support for the Blessed War of Liberation.

On this occasion, the school administration extends its warmest congratulations to all students, wishing them continued success and excellence in their academic and professional journeys. It also reaffirms the vital role of students today in promoting awareness, serving society, and contributing to the building of an Algeria driven by knowledge and innovation.

Participation in Training on the Development and Implementation of an Institutional Project

As part of the vision of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences—M’hamed Yazid—to design and implement a modern and effective institutional project that meets the requirements of quality assurance and strategic management in higher education institutions, the school participated in a training program entitled:

“Development and Implementation of the Institutional Project”
(Élaboration et mise en œuvre du projet d’établissement)

The training was hosted by Saad Dahlab University Blida 1 and addressed several key themes related to the Objectives and Performance Contract (COP – Contrat d’Objectifs et de Performance), including:

  • The Objectives and Performance Contract and its role in institutional development.
  • Fundamental principles for designing an effective and efficient contract.
  • The classical structure of an Objectives and Performance Contract.
  • Practical methodology for developing the institutional project and preparing the COP.
  • Common mistakes to avoid when drafting the contract.
  • Practical tools for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Objectives and Performance Contract.
  • The value chain of the Objectives and Performance Contract and mechanisms for its practical implementation.

This participation reflects the school’s commitment to developing a comprehensive institutional project based on strategic planning, performance improvement, and the promotion of a culture of evaluation and follow-up. These efforts aim to enhance the institution’s development and achieve its future objectives through a modern and effective vision.
