As part of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences “Mohamed Yazid” openness to current international issues and its commitment to strengthening students’ presence in scientific and diplomatic spaces, the school’s students participated in the academic lecture organized by the Diplomatic Institute and International Relations, entitled: “Strengthening the Green Growth Partnership: Addressing the Sustainability Crisis and Enhancing Cooperation in Climate Change”, held at the headquarters of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The lecture was delivered by Ban Ki-moon, guest of Algeria, President of the General Assembly and the Board of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), who presented an in-depth perspective on global sustainability challenges and ways to enhance international cooperation in addressing accelerating climate change.
The visit also featured a major milestone with the official opening of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) office in Algiers, reflecting Algeria’s strong commitment to supporting sustainable development pathways, promoting the green economy, and reinforcing its role as an active partner in international environmental efforts.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for the school’s students to closely engage with international discussions on environmental and development issues, linking academic training with major global transformations.
