Read MoreThe National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences “Mohamed Yazid” aims to train a new generation of qualified media professionals in the fields of journalism and information sciences. Its pedagogical approach is based on combining solid theoretical foundations with intensive field practice, supported by modern infrastructure, including an advanced studio and specialized technical equipment that enable students to acquire practical skills in an environment that simulates professional reality, in addition to a scientific laboratory that supports training and research.
The school also keeps pace with the rapid transformations occurring in the sector, particularly in institutional communication, digital journalism, audiovisual media, and the geopolitical analysis of media. It aims to produce graduates with high-level skills in innovation and media production, capable of understanding current challenges and anticipating future developments in media practice at both national and international levels.
The year 2025 marked an important milestone in the trajectory of the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences “M’hamed Yazid”, distinguished by a series of efforts aimed at improving training quality, strengthening scientific activity, and enhancing institutional openness.
These efforts included the review and development of academic programs, with a strong emphasis on practical learning through increased workshops and scientific events, contributing to the enhancement of students’ skills and their adaptation to the requirements of professional practice. The year also witnessed the organization of several scientific events, including conferences and seminars, which helped stimulate research activity and create spaces for academic discussion and exchange of expertise. This was further supported by the reinforcement of research production through dedicated research structures, strengthening the school’s scientific presence.
In implementation of the supervising ministry’s recommendations, several scientific and technological units were established, including a technology support center, an intensive language learning center, and an entrepreneurship development center, among others. These structures aim to develop a modern learning environment aligned with the rapidly changing professional landscape, while enhancing applied training and professional skills to facilitate students’ integration into the job market.
On the student life level, notable activity was recorded through the organization of scientific and cultural events alongside academic training, which contributed to refining students’ skills and strengthening their personal and professional development.
The school continues its efforts to realize its vision of training high-level media professionals capable of adapting to rapid technological changes and actively contributing to the development of the media and communication sector.
