
At the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences “M’hamed Yazid”, the Director of the School, Professor Khaled Lalaoui, welcomed Professor Massoud Ammarna, Secretary-General of the National Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of a working and familiarization visit. He was accompanied by Mr. Ailoul Hichem, Secretary-General of the Ben Aknoun Local Union, affiliated with the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA).
The visit provided an opportunity to tour the School’s various facilities and academic structures, while receiving an overview of its academic and scientific journey, as well as the continuous efforts undertaken to advance education and research in the fields of media and communication sciences.
During the visit, the Secretary-General expressed his deep appreciation and admiration for the level of excellence achieved by the School, highlighting the vitality of its academic environment, the quality of its facilities, and the dynamic approach that characterizes its educational and scientific development. He also commended the clear commitment demonstrated by the School’s administration to fostering excellence and strengthening the institution’s position as a leading specialized university in journalism and information sciences.
The occasion also served to reaffirm the importance of promoting dialogue, cooperation, and stronger partnerships among all members of the university community, with the shared objective of supporting the development of Algerian higher education through mutual respect and complementary roles.
Furthermore, the Secretary-General of the National Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research praised the efforts of the School’s administration, particularly its commitment to fostering an institutional environment that respects trade union rights and freedoms and supports responsible trade union activity within the framework of the applicable laws and regulations, recognizing it as an essential partner in promoting constructive dialogue and improving the university workplace.
On this occasion, the National Higher School of Journalism and Information Sciences “Mohamed Yazid” reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing a policy of openness, communication, and cooperation, while strengthening a culture of mutual respect that supports its academic mission and reinforces its position as a leading institution serving knowledge, journalism, and media in Algeria.
