The ENSJSI, in synergy with the various stakeholders and players in the business, supports its students in initial or professional training in the development of skills needed for their careers. DIRECTOR'S WORD
The updating of knowledge and the acquisition of new skills are now part of the major issues of training. The exercise of journalism is today part of a triple dimension: theoretical knowledge and general knowledge, critical knowledge, professional practices and techniques.
This is why the ENSJSI should allow us to acquire a knowledge and a critical understanding of the contemporary world analyzed in its historical, economic, political and social dimensions. It aims to give us the skills to better understand the professional world and its developments through the media companies and the journalistic profession. Finally, it offers us the opportunity to analyze and decode the major current issues.
The ethical issues and the relationship to sources of information are also part of the cultural foundation provided in this general approach to training. ENSJSI gives a prominent place to the professional practices and specificities of each media: methods, techniques and developments.
We, the management team, the teaching team, the administrative staff and the students of ENSJSI, attach great value to the concept of integrity which results in open-mindedness, honest behavior and the implementation of our professional skills at the best possible level.
We strive to maintain team spirit, justice and solidarity. We create an environment in which constructive opinions are listened to and taken into consideration. We are transparent in our messages, activities and decisions. We take responsibility for our actions for which we are indebted. We strive for excellence in our work, our academic investment, our teaching and research activities as well as our management.
Our mission is twofold. It is both to train the decision-makers of tomorrow, and to participate actively in the production of new knowledge in the information sciences. Major missions are waiting for us.
- To develop the doctoral studies, first aim of the School.
- Strengthen laboratories that will support research and doctoral studies.
- Make the magazine ENSJSI "The Journal of Communication and Journalism" a real platform for thinking through relevant themes.
- Use the audiovisual studio in a training perspective but also audiovisual content production.
- Improve links with the user sector by setting up professional masters
- Integrate international cooperation in the constant search for improvement of courses and adaptation to the regional and international environment.

THE SCHOOL CHARTER
The National School of Journalism and Information Sciences (ENSJSI) is a public institution resolutely turned towards excellence. Indeed, seriousness, abnegation, merit, probity and intellectual honesty are the based matrix of its action. Therefore, since excellence is the major aspiration, ENSJSI can not authorize or admit behavior that is contrary to the values of knowledge and science. Thus, are proscribed:
- Cheating ;
- Plagiarism ;
- And intellectual dogmatism
Nor can it admit attitudes that are prejudicial to the fundamental values that underlie Algeria, state and society. So, will not be admitted within our school behaviors that encourage or incite to:
- Religious, ethnic, linguistic or racial extremism;
- Intolerance of any kind ;
- Partisan and ideological positioning in strict respect of university franchises;
- Nepotism, clientelism and regionalism
These harmful behaviors could harm our school and divert it from its true vocation which is to be a pole of excellence.
The members of the ENSJSI (teachers, administrative and technical bodies and students) constitute a family; a family driven by the sole concern of making our School a place of knowledge, excellence and cultural and civilizational influence. So we must work, all of us, each according to his mission and his role, to translate these values into facts and to ensure that our school is a model of success and seriousness. The task is difficult, but it is not impossible. To do this, we must mobilize and ensure that the sacrifices that will be made will not be in vain. The future of the school depends on it.
